New Rheumatologist in Medford, ORA
Medford, OR rheumatologist Dr Lawrence Levin is one of the newest members to join the Oregon Rheumatology Alliance. Dr Levin attended medical school at the University of Hawaii and completed both his Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship at UC Davis. He then returned to Hawaii in 1986 to enter into private practice with his father, Dr Melvin Levin, also a Rheumatologist. After a few years of private practice, Dr Levin joined Straub clinic in Honolulu. Also, he taught an associate professor of Medicine in the Internal Medicine Department at UH for 10 years.
When Dr Larry and Olivia Levin’s son, Michael, decided to attend CU Boulder, it was time to fulfill their long-time plan of moving back to the mainland. In August 2002, after 35 years of living in a tropical paradise, going to the beach, sailing, and enjoying the trade winds, the Levin’s were looking forward to hiking in the mountains, rafting, and enjoying all four seasons. During many visits to Dr Levin’s sister who has been living in Ashland for 24 years, the Rogue Valley became a familiar and well loved place. It was easy for the Levin’s to feel at home.
Dr Levin enjoys sailing and his lifelong hobby of sailboat racing. He also enjoys playing American and Irish folk music. He is currently in practice with Drs Karen Basin and David Dryland in Medford and enjoys the camaraderie and professionalism of the office.
