Patient Insurance Satisfaction Survey
In light of recent HMO-sponsored physician and hospital "report cards," ORA commissioned the Oregon Survey Research Laboratory (OSRL) to develop and conduct an insurance subscriber satisfaction survey. During the summer of 2004, OSRL administered 1800 surveys to arthritis patients in 24 rheumatology clinics in Oregon regarding the patients' satisfaction with their insruance coverage for rheumatic disease. OSRL computed the results and the data will be used to educate insurance providers, healthcare providers, and the general public on the importance and influence of adeqaute and timely insurance coverage on the quality of care afforded rheumatic disease patients.
ORA is currently reviewing the results and will post a report of the findings in the coming weeks.
