AIR Thickens in Idaho

Rheumatology advocates Drs Patrick Knibbe, Craig Scoville, and Steve Eukland, who have contributed to arthritis advocacy over the past several years, have hit the ground running with their own state-wide grassroots advocacy group. Drs Knibbe, Scoville, and Eukland incorporated the Associates of Idaho Rheumatologists (AIR) and are already negotiating with Blue Cross of Idaho on access to biologics. The northwestern group held its first annual meeting in Sun Valley this September, at which ORA board member Dr. Dan Fohrman spoke regarding advocacy issues. AIR also hosts CME journal club meetings in Boise nine months out of each year. ORA looks forward to working with these advocates on regional and national advocacy issues in the coming months.
